Adults and children volunteer
At the humanitarian center of the Bucha community, caring and active citizens help displaced citizens in their community and others due to destroyed houses by Russian occupiers. The war in Ukraine has united adults and children: they prepare lunches for checkpoints, sew knee pads and clothes for soldiers and collect lists of necessary items. After that, our volunteers send them to the people in need.
According to the head of the regional council, the greatest need is for children’s goods, medicines, and hygiene products.
We discussed how our charity would help rebuild towns and villages with the mayors and the justice problem of crimes committed by Russians with prosecutors. We are proud that our humanitarian support helps.
During our visit to a mass grave, we spoke with locals who told us that these people had endured hell. Our team also watched the children play on the streets. They talked about sirens and shootings, and we noticed that they liked playing war games. As we watched them, it became clear that these children had been through a lot in their young lives.
We will have to write about a war experience in books and not only in books, but we also have to make movies about the villages and towns in the Kyiv region. And I think our children will retell their stories about life in occupied Ukrainian towns.
