A total of $15,000 was received from donors. With this money, 3 trucks were formed and sent. Each shipment was approximately 2.5-3 tons of food.
Humanitarian aid was provided to the residents of Kharkiv and the suburbs. There were problems with supplies because the shelling was carried out regularly. The help included essential items and products: sausages, vegetables, cereals, water, medicines, baby food, diapers, and so on.
As part of the mission, the following steps were taken:
We transferred the funds received to a trusted person in the city of Dnipro. Before the war, he was engaged in the distribution of the product line and had the opportunity to purchase many products at a significant discount in production and wholesale depots. In the city of Dnipro, a bulk of humanitarian aid was formed and sent to Kharkiv.
In Kharkiv, we distributed the contents to two small groups of volunteers. Local well-known athletes and Thai boxing coaches organized them. These volunteer groups accepted targeted applications, formed food packages, and then delivered them to those in need at the specified addresses and to apartment buildings where people hid in the basements and distributed them.
Their first-person activities are described below:
- We have a warehouse near Odessa. There we bring everything we have received from people or acquired through financial assistance. We accept applications on Instagram, Telegram, Viber, and SMS to personal phones throughout the day. Applications are processed from 10:00 pm until midnight, we make a list of applications for the morning, so we know the number of packages to distribute.
Example of the application for humanitarian aid:
- District
- Street and house number
- Phone number and contact name
- Pharmacy (name of the medication or generic brand)
- Food list
- Volunteers assemble packages and communicate via group chat. It can be anywhere from one to thirty assembled packages per day. There is a standard set of vegetables, fruits, cereals/pasta, salt, sugar, tea, bread, canned food, sausages, and sweets. After collecting the standard set, we check what add-ons are available.
- Checking the completed sets
- We deliver throughout the city and distribute around the districts; volunteers will go along the constructed route. Sending trucks to pick up points or use personal cars (we pay for fuel)
- Taking photos
