Part V – Getting to know the team

Date

So finally, after a week of getting things in order and money hitting the ground, my copilot and friend since he was 8 years old – Oles, was able to utilize the funds in distributing it where needed.

Shortly about him professionally (taken from LinkedIn bio):
“Highly organized manager with 11 years of extensive experience in banking and accounting practices and procedures. Six of them are in key positions. Innovative and knowledgeable in creating and building teams, analyzing asset portfolios, asset management, budgeting, and creating and implementing innovative products and strategies. I have a wide practice of conducting negotiations at the level of top officials of organizations and government agencies. I was engaged in the creation and development of an outsourcing network and cost optimization.”

So this guy was running around doing all types of work with $4 in his bank account. Luckily, that changed due to our donors and the help we received. And due to his extensive connections and network of like volunteers, we are going to do amazing things.

Here is the report that I got from him in his own words:

“Hi! My morning routine was helping elderly people with food in our district. Then we helped to check out from the hospital a mother with a daughter who suffered as a result of the bombing of the TV tower on the 1st of March. They were damaged in the car near the tower. The mother needs a new car, and the daughter needs new eyes… after two surgeries, there is hope for the restoration of vision. No photo and video because it’s absolutely immoral.

Then we helped with the delivery of food for the military and elderly people with a volunteer organization. Now we are waiting for prices for plates for body armor. I order 6 packs.

Also, I don’t count small things like helping homeless people or veterans or helping some people in hospitals with medical goods. I’m just buying it when I see that they really need it.”
