I’m sure everyone is aware of Ukraine and it’s a war.
From the week of February 24th – to March 3rd, I have been in constant contact with people on the ground in Ukraine. Without diving into the hell of stories I heard from my friends and videos sent to me from first hands on the battlefields and civilian cities, I understood that people need help ASAP and in real-time! Even though there are already tons of fundraisers and organizations trying to help on the world stage, locally, nationally, and internationally – not all the help gets where it’s needed.
There are ongoing problems and threats that people face daily. It’s a shortage of food, finances, places to sleep, transportation of refugees from dangerous and heavy military points to less dangerous ones, and so many more.
I have been trying to set up an infrastructure to help with these issues in various ways and channels by getting funds directly to people who are volunteering with help, who I know personally, and who will not pocket the money. Yes, it does happen, and more often than you know.
We tried to come up with cohesive identification of what those operations are and even collected media so that people can see the actions we take to shelter and help the people of Ukraine. But the truth is, with each passing day, the situation changes, making it increasingly hard to adapt.
So instead of creating a campaign, I have decided not to waste time – each passing hour and minute could mean life or death to these people.
My company and I, including people on the ground who are my friends or have previously worked with me, launched a direct help campaign and fundraiser. Its purpose is simple – give help, any help, when it’s needed and where it’s needed. We were raising funds here in the USA and sending them directly over to Ukraine via Payoneer or any other means of transfer that will be available. The people I know will receive funds. In return, I will do what needs to be done in each case.
We started to work on simple things like identifying the channels with food distribution and delivery, such as getting in touch with food factories and setting up deliveries to the hospitals, bombshells, and underground where people are, transfer and financial help to the refugees. Hopefully will figure out medical aid and distribution later on. We will be increasing and improving the list as we go. But most importantly, for us to be able to do this – we require funds.
I have started sending my private funds forward to people on the ground. And I am hoping that people could help me with this task by donating and sharing this message with their friends.
I have directly reached out to people via texts and social media, asking them to join me and help me create a slight positive difference in someone’s life when required. My phone started to blow up with messages of support and requests regarding how and where the donations could be made!
As the time is of the essence at the moment, we would accept any form of donations directly to our company’s account, UKi Productions Inc. Later on, we will create a separate account for more convenience, if necessary, with a nonprofit tax ID.
Further, my company will start a campaign where from now on, all the event and entertainment production services that we provide and sell – will be donated towards this cause, with 100% of profit going towards Ukraine and its people.
If you can’t donate, please see if you can share and let everyone know that if anyone is having an event and needs any entertainment, production, or security services – by hiring us, they will be helping Ukraine.
Don’t think you need to donate tons; anything helps – $1 is better than $0.
